The role of a Commercial Manager is to manage all costs relating to a Construction project and they will be involved from the initial pricing until the end of the project. Commercial Managers are responsible for minimising the costs and maximising value for money, whilst maintaining the required building quality and standards. A Quantity Surveyor needs to be aware of, understand and adhere to statutory building regulations.
Commercial Managers may be based on site or in an office. They may also be referred to as a Quantity Surveyor.
